First candidate for my Top 10 Albums of 2013

trailer Extended Plays

Extended Plays

I always wondered what it would take to get me to submit a review, and this CD is it.

I think Bruce's work on this album is understated brilliance, and I alternately cried and danced in my chair on the first listenings (3 consecutive). As an artist, Bruce internalized the events of 9/11 and was inspired to create what few could ever hope to; a stunning compilation of songs that masterfully and beautifully articulates the confusion, pain, aftermath, and subsequent hope of a relief worker, a loved one, a nation.

Bruce's songwriting skills are top-notch, and the lyrics on this album really display his capacity for tapping in to the depth of the human spirit and emotion. But the theme here is healing, so while many of the lyrics bring you back emotionally to the events of last year, in typical Bruce style, the music also has the power to rejuvenate.

The album is thoroughly modern in its approach, yet elements of the "old" Bruce - the great E-Street Band sound, Clarence's provocative sax, the knock-your-socks-off guitar solos, the memorable rock-n-roll anthems - are here again, too. While listening, I can't help but picture myself dancing and singing along to many of these songs with friends at a live show. (And if you've ever been to one of his shows, you know what I mean!!!)

A lot of care and thought has gone in to the production details as well. Songs thread seamlessly in to one another. Additional musicians and musical styles are used to full effect. And lyrics are included.

THE RISING is a modern classic, in my opinion ranking right up there with Bruce's best - but will stand on it's own. More than ever, it should solidify Bruce's place in musical history. It's an album that Neil Young, Billy Joel, and certainly Bon Jovi, among others, will wish they'd made.

Dont Wait! Cut to Cord! Mohu Sky is the way

Nail Polish review Mohu MH 004061 Sky HDTV Antenna

Mohu MH 004061 Sky HDTV Antenna

I've been a cord cutter for over 5 years now and I happened to stumbled upon this product while I was I reading an article on cord cutting online about 3 weeks ago. After reading all the positive reviews, I simply had to get one and I'm glad I did! Initially, I ordered it from Amazon on March 11th and it was on a two week backorder but i got an emall two days later from Amazon saying that it would arrive on March 15th and it did!

I bought the Sky HDTV Antenna to replace an old antenna that had seen better days and I also wanted something that would work when installed in an attic - I have a metal roof so previous antennas that I tried weren't strong enough for the signal to get through even with an amp so I ended up having to install them outside. Well, with all the rain, wind and lightening in Florida, I had to replace my antennas three times now; the Sky Antenna is my fourth and I believe will be my last.

If you are looking to cut the cable cord, you should seriously consider getting a Mohu SKY HDTV Antenna for your OTA TV needs. It really work and I would highly recommend it!

If You Care About Women & Girls - Watch This! - Tim

silver heels review Half Sky Oppression Opportunity Worldwide

Half Sky Oppression Opportunity Worldwide

I think many documentary films serve a great purpose in this age of technology, but this is by far the best documantary I have ever seen. As another reviewer said, I LITERALLY wanted to scream...at my tv, at the film crew, at the men who made the lives of these women hell and at the other women who perpetrated some of these atrocities on their fellow women and children. I was brought to tears on several occasions, not only by the unfairness and depth of depravity unleashed upon these women and children, but also by the courage of the women profiled and the resilience of the victims' spirits. If viewing this film doesn't give teenage viewers and adults, especially women, young and old, a sense of how incredibly fortunate their lives are compared to third world countries, there's no hope for it to ever sink in. Definitely NOT for the feint of heart, but oh so powerful. A MUST watch!

119 Dark Blue Filter Sheet

"Author James Conroyd Martin...with the third installment of his 'Trilogy', 'The Warsaw Conspiracy' when now, added to his previous works: 'Push Not the River' and 'Against a Crimson Sky'...is clearly on his way to becoming a new, 'modern' Sienkiewicz of our times. You will be drawn in to a world that will be difficult to let go of, while learning more about a long-overlooked but valuable part of European History, that of Poland, a key lynchpin in the affairs involving All of Europe, as the struggle for power, freedom and liberty are constantly pulling this way and that. A true testimonial to the tenacity of the Polish people and their nation. GET this book! Get ALL his books! Great kit to get started all but land

dress review Magic Gathering Cards Bonus Rares

Magic Gathering Cards Bonus Rares

my 1000+25 rare purchase was from toad and troll, total card count was 1086+27 rares, 1 rare was included in the 1000 cards, all in all it was a decent purchase, good idea for someone new to magic or wanting to expand your collection. there was 4 lands, 31 foriegn, and alot of older which was fine, there was some duplicates, but not overwhelming, there was about five total that have ovr 10. the rest was 2-6, but i wouldnt say it was excessive, nice mix of common and uncommon, im not sure if i would buy this many again tho, alot of cards to sift thru at one time atho it was fun. got ovr 300 blue alone, not my personal deck choice, ovr 150 white, green and black, ovr a 100 red, ovr 40 colorless and bout 40 multi and of course land and foriegn. im sure i'll donate most to the local card shop to give out to new magic players, magic is a great learning tool for kids, especially if they are having trouble with math, one can absorb the subject better when its fun, my order was recieved in two days, standard shipping, alot of that might be because im on the east coast as well as toad and troll. will purchase from them again. thx

WORTH THE MONEY, WELL BUILT, & SEEMS BRIGHT. I LIKE IT

tablet review BestDealUSA Powerful Green Pointer Bright

BestDealUSA Powerful Green Pointer Bright

I'm a novice who's starting to learn more about photography, and I needed a remote release to take some long shutter photos.

I was searching online and found out the Canon equivalent of this remote shutter release would cost somewhere around the twenties to thirties, which wasn't what I was ready to pay for. So after researching a little bit more, I found this little gem.

Note: THIS WORKS WITH CERTAIN EOS MODELS ONLY, NAMELY THE XXD and some XD series. I'm not sure about xxxD (or the T1i, T2i etc) so please check before you get it..

Pros:
1) works as it should
2) no hassle; plug it into your camera and it works
3) works with the xxD series and xD series.
4) cable is long enough, about 3 ft long. I won't be using it from a far distance, so that's fine with me
5) great bang for buck

Cons:
1) build quality (it's not bad; just that it could be improved. The genuine Canon shutter is made of plastic too)

If you're a novice and want/need a remote release just to learn how to take a few night pictures, GET IT! You'll love it!

If you're an expert, perhaps the genuine Canon would suit your taste better. But I assure you both work just about the same :) The extra cash might be better off spent on better lenses and tripods :)

A Powerfully Real Novel About Overcoming Addiction

watches woman Sitting Still ebook

Sitting Still ebook

Henry Miller is not popular with the academic community. I think this is because there is nothing for academics to do with his books. Henry says what Henry means, there really is no need to interpret his meaning. So don't be scared off just because your instructors never mention this book. It's meant to be enjoyed outside the confines of institutions such as college anyway. Henry's point of view is the man in the street. Sometimes(most of the time) he is dealing with very basic issues like food(mostly where the next meals coming from) and sex which he likes to have often. Henry is a man perhaps limited to a few appetites but that is why he is fun to hang out with. He enthuses you with his own enthusiasms. He can be funny, depressing, and surprisingly poetic in his visions which may have been brought on by hunger or drink or just desperation to have a vision. I think the same audience that likes Kerouac will like Miller. Kerouac is also dismissed by the academy and the higher circles of learning but who cares. Both tell pretty straightforward tales about themselves trying to live the way they want. They should be read for no other reason than for the pure enjoyment they give. The movie Henry Miller(Henry and June) I think is a great character but not the Henry I know. The Henry that is narrating Tropic of Cancer is desperate and spilling over with words that are sometimes heartbreakingly honest. The movie Henry is more like a loveable clown which Henry did become later in life. Other books by Henry Miller are also very enjoyable. My favorites: The Colossus of Maroussi(about a visit to Greece), The Air-Conditioned Nightmare(travels in U.S.) and Big Sur and the Oranges of Hieronymos Bosch(about his life in that N. California idyllic spot). Read and enjoy. Screw the academy.
